Percent of responsibility For courses with more than one instructor, the percent of responsibility for all instructors must add up to 100 to save the section. Instructors and Associate In’s with teaching responsibility must have a percent of responsibility greater than zero. Teaching assistants supporting an instructor must have a percent of responsibility equal to zero.
Primary Indicator. Every course must have one instructor with the primary indicator box checked. For courses with two or more instructors, only one instructor must have the primary indicator designation.
Add or Update an Instructor or TA in CLSS
- Open the section and open the Instructor section by clicking on the pencil icon
- Click on the instructor box and key the instructor or TA’s 9-digit ID number. If you do not know the ID, select the “Other” option from the drop-down menu and use the search box to find the instructor.
- Select the Role (Primary or Non-Primary). Remember that every section must have one instructor in the primary role.
- Adjust % Responsibility if needed. Make sure the percentages add up to 100 if there are two or more instructors.
- Add more rows if needed for additional instructors or TAs
- Click Accept
