International Documents

Requesting a Document for International Use

Students often face the challenge of providing official documents to foreign agencies and governments. The availability of Official documents produced by the Office of the University Registrar may vary due to when a service is available. To check the availability of a document, refer to the Document Availability table below.

Processing times for available services are listed in the Processing Timeline table below. A delay in the processing of documents may result from incomplete requests. Delays may be avoided by ensuring a request for a document is complete as well as the proper document is being requested that best fits your needs and circumstances. A review of the official documents produced by the Office of the University Registrar is located on the Academic Records webpage.

Request for Notarization of a Document for International Use

The Office of the University Registrar is often requested to notarize documents when it is necessary for a student to provide proof the contents of the original or photocopy of an official document are true, accurate, complete, and that all signatures therein are authentic and genuine.

To request a notary, submit a completed Request for Notarization form to the Office of the University Registrar with your request for an official document. Refer to Notary Services for information regarding request types to determine if an official document is required for your notary request. The availability and processing time for a notary request may vary depending on the type of document notarized. See Document Availability and Notary Processing Timeline charts for more information.

Note: Notary requests involving diplomas may not be issued if a student accounting hold exists on your academic record. If such a hold is present, contact Student Accounting for further information.
