The class schedule is developed collaboratively by academic departments and the Office of the University Registrar. Each academic department must determine which classes to offer each term. Each department scheduler must also enter the class data in the Course Scheduling System (CLSS).
The Scheduling team collects and reviews the schedule data from all departments, assigns classrooms and adds other important schedule data such as enrollment restrictions, section announcements, course material fees, final exam dates, and early drop dates.
The Schedule Production Timeline outlines key milestones and deadlines that department schedulers and the Scheduling team must meet to produce the university class schedule. The timeline begins approximately 10 months before the first day of classes of each term. To help department schedulers stay on track, the Scheduling team sends timely email of the important dates and datelines in the scheduling production process.
