Do You Know That Students Can Satisfy Their ELWR With An Online Course?

Cross Campus Online enrollment for UC Davis students (outgoing students) grew at a rapid rated between fall 2017 and winter 2018 due to UC Irvine's WR 39A course offering. Is there an increased demand for this course? Yes! If a UC Davis student successfully passes this course with a C or better they are able to satisfy their ELWR deficiency.

Below is a chart which outlines the enrollment numbers for both outgoing and incoming students in this program over the past few years.

 Enrollment Numbers

Policy Change for Student Directory Information

On October 4, 2017, UC President, Janet Napolitano, notified all UC Chancellors of a policy change for campus directory information. The physical address of students is no longer considered part of student directory information.

Transfer Equivalency Update

Using the process of “triangulation,” the Transfer Equivalencies project has added over 1850 equivalencies to the Banner database. The equivalencies are between UC Davis and other UC and Cal State schools. The database is viewable by advisors and other internal staff. This tool is useful during orientation and advising sessions. There has also been a positive impact on the transfer student population. This past fall quarter, over 350 UC and CSU transfer students brought in a total of 209 courses matched to UC Davis courses. The database continues to grow along with the positive impact to our incoming students.
