Registration Freeze {NEW}

All Students

You must enroll in courses and pay your fees and other financial obligations by the deadline to avoid the $110.00 Late Registra-tion Fee; see the Academic Calendar. Enroll during Pass 1!

Undergraduate Students

Register early during your appointment time so you have the best chance of getting the courses you want. Your appointment time lasts four hours. If you miss your four-hour Pass 1 or Pass 2 appointment time, you will have to wait until Open Hours to enroll in courses.

You cannot enroll in courses or access Open Hours until after your appointment time.

Graduate Students

Graduate students are not assigned appointment times. You may enroll in classes any time during Registration operating hours.

Graduate students may not enroll in more than 16 units of upper division and graduate level courses combined, or in more than 12 units of graduate level coursework, without approval of the Associate Dean of Students in Graduate Studies.

The maximum Pass 1 units you may enroll in are 17.

Pass 1 Appointments

Spring 2010: Feb 8–Feb 19

  • Enroll during your assigned appointment time.

You may enroll in a total of 17 units during Pass 1. Drop unwanted courses before adding new courses.

Continuing students can enroll or adjust their schedules during Open Hours on weekday evenings and weekends (excludes new students).

  • Evenings (M–F) 8:00 p.m.–midnight
  • Weekends 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

New students can enroll or adjust their schedules on the same day as their appointment only, between 8:00 p.m. and midnight.

Pass 1 Open Registration

Spring 2010: Feb 20-Feb 28

  • Weekdays 6:00 a.m.–midnight
  • Weekends 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

No appointment is necessary during Open Registration.

Pass 2 Appointments

Spring 2010: Mar 1–Mar 12

  • Enroll during your assigned appointment time.
You can enroll in a total of 19 units during Pass 2. Drop unwanted courses before adding new courses. You may place yourself on a wait list. If you need to adjust your schedule after your appointment time ends, you may use SISWeb during Open Hours on weekday evenings or weekends.
  • Evenings (M–F) 8:00 p.m.–midnight
  • Weekends 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Spring 2010: Mar 13–Mar 22

  • Weekdays 6:00 a.m.–midnight
  • Weekends 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Registration Freeze {NEW}

Spring 2010: Mar 23–Mar 24; 11:59 a.m.

The Registration Freeze is a period of one & one-half business days following the registration fee payment deadline where no graduate, professional or undergraduate students may register. This freeze period ensures that timely payments are properly applied to student accounts, and provides an opportunity to clear registrations and enroll students from the wait list; this occurs the night of the second registration freeze day.
