During registration each quarter, you can find courses using one of the following tools:

The Class Search Tool provides enhanced real-time class search
by CRN, subject, course number, course title, instructor, day
of week, time, former and new/revised General Education course, or whether seats remain open. You have the option of logging onto the Class Search Tool to "save classes" in advance and keep a list of CRN's to help when using SISWeb to register. Note that saving classes in the Class Search Tool does not guarantee any enrollment, nor does it automatically input CRN's into SISWeb. Use the Class Search Tool and Open Courses List as a guide only; the classes offered and number of available seats changes continually before and during registration.

The Class Search Tool replaces the Open Courses List (see Open Courses List, below), which is available until Jan 25 at http://registrar.ucdavis.edu/ocl/opencourses.html.

The Class Search Tool is available a few weeks before the Class Schedule and Registration Guide (CSRG) is published, but please note that class availability changes constantly.

Open Courses List

For Winter 2012, the Open Courses List is available Oct 27, 2011–Jan 25, 2012. After Jan 25, 2012, the Open Courses List will be discontinued. Use the Class Search Tool or SISWeb after Jan 25, 2012.

SISWeb

You can search for open courses using SISWeb. Your search results tell you the number of seats remaining in the course. For information on searching for courses, see Registration Menu. Scheduled courses not listed in the Open Courses List can be wait-listed starting in Pass 2. Use SISWeb to view or enroll in wait-listed courses.
