An official record of each student's academic work at UC Davis is permanently retained by the Office of the University Registrar. Copies of Official Transcripts, upon a student's written request, will be mailed to institutions, agencies and individuals or provided to the student in a sealed envelope. A separate transcript is provided for undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies completed at UC Davis.

We are unable to fax Official Transcripts. The Office of the University Registrar does not have unofficial transcripts.

Order Your Transcript

Order your transcript online. This service is provided through Credentials, Inc. There is an additional surcharge for use of this service.

Order by mail. Complete the Transcript Request form and mail to:

Pay by check, money order, Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card. Make check or money order payable to UC Regents.

For verification purposes, you will be notified via e-mail within 48 hours of receiving your transcript request.

Order by fax. Complete the Transcript Request form and fax to: (530) 752-6906; Attn: Transcript Requests; pay by Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card only.

In person at the Cashier's Office. Bring your completed Transcript Request form to main level Dutton Hall; 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.; Monday- Friday; pay by Discover Card, cash, check, or money order.

In person at the Office of the University Registrar. Bring your completed Transcript Request form to room 12 in Mrak Hall: 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.; Monday- Friday; by Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card or debit card with Visa, MasterCard, Discover logo.

Availabilty

Current quarter grades will be on your transcript 3 to 5 weeks after the quarter ends. Degree postings will be on your transcript 8 to 10 weeks after the quarter ends. Rush requests are not allowed for transcripts being held for grades or degree posting.

Cost

$6.00 for each transcript.

Rush service costs $15.00 for each transcript.

Examples:

• One undergraduate, graduate, or professional transcript; $6.00
• Two undergraduate transcripts; $12.00
• One undergraduate transcript and one graduate transcript; $12.00
• Three transcripts, any combination of undergraduate, graduate or professional; $18.00

Please allow four to five working days for processing, not including mailing time.

Rush transcripts ($15.00 per copy) will be processed and mailed within one business day after receipt of your request prior to 3 p.m. and shipped via United States Postal Service 1st class mail.

Transcript Contents

• Student’s name & ID number
• College & major(s)
• Degree(s) (includes Minor, if obtained) and date of confirmation; once you graduate
  
• Admission term
• If there is transfer work, it will be posted as the name of the school and units transferred; individual classes and grades do not show on official transcripts
• Full academic history; includes all classes taken in which a grade was given (excluding NS grades), grades given and term GPA along with UC cumulative GPA for each quarter; you can not request transcripts for individual quarters
• Pertinent notations, i.e. repeats, part-time status, withdrawals, PELPS, and internships
• Total units completed
• A statement regarding academic standing
• A notice that Subject A & American History have been satisfied, or not

Forms are available at the Office of the University Registrar, the Cashier's Office, or you can view, print, or download the Ordering Official UC Davis Transcripts form.

If you are unable to download the transcript order form, you can write or fax us. Please be sure to sign your letter and include the following information:

• Full name at the time of your attendance
• Student ID number (or Social Security Number)
• Current address
• Date of birth
• Last day of attendance at UC Davis
• Type of transcript (undergraduate, graduate, or professional)
• Complete address to where transcript should be mailed
• Signature is required on letter

Holds

Holds must be removed from your record (including student accounting, housing or judicial holds) before a transcript may be issued

Attachments

If you include attachments with your form, such an AMCAS or an insurance form, they will be included with the transcript.

Transfer Work

Transfer transcripts are reviewed by Undergraduate Admissions.  They determine which classes are transferable and the number of units which can transfer. The Office of the University Registrar posts that information to a student’s record. This may take until the end of the quarter that the student submitted the transfer transcript. However, only the name of the school and the number of units transferred shows on the official transcript.
