Indentification

Your UC Davis photo ID card:

• Is active only when you are enrolled and paid for the quarter
• Is part of your student record
• Identifies you as a UC Davis student to all faculty and staff at UC Davis and at other UC campuses. Present your UC Davis photo ID card when visiting campus offices and when requested by university staff

Student Account Access

You can activate a new or replacement UC Davis photo ID card at the following campus locations:

• UC Davis Bookstore & Cowell Health Center. Charges may be placed on your account using your UC Davis photo ID card
• Meal Plans. Segundo Dining Commons office activates meal plans on your new UC Davis photo ID cards for meal plan subscribers
• Residence Halls. Residence hall area desks activate dormitory access on your new or replaced UC Davis photo ID card
• Library. Registration makes it possible to check out books; request books & journals the library does not own; allows you to renew your books online; allows access to the 24-hour study room in Shields Library. Undergraduate and graduate students can activate a new student ID card at the Shields Library circulation desk or online at http://www.lib.ucdavis.edu/register. If you have a replacement student ID card, you can only use the library circulation desk to activate the card
  

Loss of Your UC Davis Photo ID Card

Warning. Losing your card may place your student account at risk for unauthorized charges.

If lost or stolen, replace your card immediately (see Get a Replacement UC Davis Photo ID Card, at right).

Monitor your student account on SISWeb and contact the offices listed under Student Account Access immediately to prevent misuse of your student account.

Photo ID Card Events

During Orientation, during the summer, incoming freshman, new students, and transfer students may obtain a new UC Davis Photo ID card at special stations, as well as in 12 Mrak Hall; for times and locations, see here.

Magnetic Stripe

The magnetic strip on your ID card contains information about your student account, housing, and library access. Take care to not damage the stripe.

Unitrans Bus Fares

As an undergraduate student, your UC Davis photo ID card entitles you to special Unitrans bus fare rates; see Unitrans for more information.

Discounts

Using Aggie Cash, your UC Davis photo ID card is honored at many Davis businesses for discounted prices on services and food. Even withouit Aggie Cash, show your card and ask if they give a student discount.

Get a Replacement UC Davis Photo ID Card

Replacement UC Davis photo ID cards are available at the Office of the University Registrar in 12 Mrak Hall.

You must provide a government-issued ID and pay the replacement fee of $15.00 toward replacing a lost, stolen or intentionally damaged UC Davis photo ID card.

• Acceptable IDs are a valid state driver's license, a passport, or visa
• The fee is payable by Discover, Visa, and Mastercard credit cards at the Office of the University Registrar in 12 Mrak Hall, or by cash, check, or credit card at the Cashier's Office in 1100 Dutton Hall, before a replacement is made by the Office of the University Registrar

Found a Lost UC Davis Photo ID Card?

If you find a UC Davis photo ID card, return it to the Office of the University Registrar in 12 Mrak Hall or drop it into any U.S. Postal Service box and it will be delivered postage paid to the Office of the University Registrar.
