Using SISWeb

SISWeb is the UC Davis Web-based registration system. You can add or drop courses, place yourself on wait lists, check your class locations and meeting times, and search for open courses. SISWeb is an online registration system, so you are immediately enrolled in the available courses you select.

You must have a UC Davis computing account to use SISWeb. For information on creating an account; see http://computingaccounts.ucdavis.edu.

Registration Passes

Registration takes place during two intervals called “passes.” You are assigned an appointment time during each of the two passes. The two-pass registration system ensures that all students have access to the courses that are most critical to their curricula and attain full-time status, and that access to registration is distributed fairly throughout the student body.

Undergraduate Registration Unit Limits

Per the university’s Time-to-Degree experiment, undergraduate students can enroll in up to 17 units during Pass 1, 19 units during Pass 2, and 28.5 units during Schedule Adjustment. SISWeb will not allow you to add the course you added last if the number of units you request exceeds the total amount allowed during that pass.

Registration Priority Groups

Access to registration is by priority groups. Priority groups are established according to the number of units completed the quarter preceding your registration appointment.

Undergraduate Class Level is determined as follows:

Freshman Level 0—44.99 units
Sophomore Level 45—89.99 units
Junior Level 90—134.99 units
Senior Level 135 units and above

Graduate students may enroll in courses any time of Registration operation during Pass 1, Pass 2, Open Registration, and Schedule Adjustment.

Students with Disabilities

For students with disabilities, registration assistance is available through the Student Disability Center. If you have a documented disability-based need for assistance with registration, please contact the Student Disability Center in 160 South Silo at (530) 752-3184 (voice) or (530) 752-6833 (TTY).

Registration Hotline

Students who need assistance using SISWeb may call the Registration Hotline during normal business hours at (530) 752-3639.
