Section Switch Before the Drop Deadline
Spring 08: Feb 4–Apr 11 (10-day-drop);
Feb 4–Apr 25 (20-day-drop)
Fall 08: May 12–Oct 8 (10-day-drop);
May 12–Oct 22 (20-day-drop)
You can switch from one section to another section of the same course by using SISWeb.
Note: Do not drop the original section first; if your new section choice is closed and your original section is closed with a wait list, you will not be able to re-enroll.
When making a section switch using SISWeb, first search for available sections of the class. When you search for classes, the results will display only sections with space available. Select the desired section and then Add to Worksheet (if you are attempting to add a section after the add deadline, obtain a PTA). Select Dropped from the Action column for the section you wish to drop, and then Submit Changes. SISWeb confirms your enrollment in the new section.

After Spring 08: Apr 11; Fall 08: Oct 8 (10-day-drop)
After Spring 08: Apr 25; Fall 08: Oct 22 (20-day-drop)
1. Obtain a Change Form from the department. Obtain department or instructor signature. Take the approved form to the Cashier’s Office, in Dutton Hall, and pay the $3.00 fee.
2. Take the validated form to the Office of the University Registrar, in 12 Mrak Hall, during normal business hours.
After the drop deadline, be sure to obtain a Change Form from the department. If you attempt to complete the section switch with a PTA number after the drop deadline, you will not be able to drop the old section. If you do add the new section with a PTA number after the drop deadline, take it to the Office of the University Registrar to drop the old section. |
