The Major Program

The computer science major prepares students for careers involving the design of computer systems and their application to science, industry, and management.

The Program. Students taking this major receive solid grounding in fundamentals of computer languages, operating systems, computer architecture, and the mathematical abstraction required to use the computer in solving complex tasks. Career Alternatives. The computer science program prepares students for advanced work in computer science or in other disciplines requiring advanced knowledge of the use of computers.
