You can search for open courses online through SISWeb. Your search results tell you the number of seats remaining in the course.

The Spring 2008 Open Courses list is be available
Feb 4—Apr 15.

During registration each quarter, you can find open courses by contacting the particular department you are interested in or by looking at the Open Courses List.

The list is frequently updated between 6:00 a.m. and midnight, Monday through Friday, during registration periods.
